Paul Bunyan, Lucette, and Other Things in Minnesota

We saw Lucette in Hackensack.  She is Paul Bunyan's wife.  We finally caught up with Paul and Babe in Bemidji.  There was even a Paul Jr. in Hackensack.  I think they make the perfect couple.

We are currently staying in Lake Itasca State Park.  It is a really nice campground and we were lucky to get a spot here.  We have been fishing in quite a few lakes around.  We caught some fish in St. Lawrence Lake near Outing, MN.  Yesterday we fished from Fish Hook River in Park Rapids, MN.  That was after we had attended Legends Logging Days.  Jeff won the axe throwing contest.  He is holding his trophy.

We will be in this state park for another week.  We have been to the Mississippi headwaters.  A person can actually walk across the river there.  Here is the view from our campsite.  That is Lake Itasca.

Until next time!
